Under the leadership of Principal Investigator Dr. Soumya Pandit, students and scholars from the M. Tech VLSI design program at the Institute of Radio Physics and Electronics, University of Calcutta, have designed an integrated circuit (IC) chip for an RF front end. The project, part of the MeitY's C2S (Chip to Startup) program, culminated in the chip's fabrication at SCL Chandigarh. The fabricated IC is one of 32 designs from different institutions and highlighted at the SEMICON India 2025 summit in New Delhi, underscoring the first "Make in India" initiative.
