The Institute of Radio Physics and Electronics and the Department of Physics, Calcutta University, in collaboration with the Radio Physics and Electronics Association, invite all to the Professor S. K. Mitra Memorial Lecture. Professor Ashoke Sen will deliver a talk titled "Gravity from strings and strings from gravity" on Wednesday, 4th November 2026 at 4 pm at Centenary Hall, Calcutta University, 87/1, College Street, Kolkata-700073. Prof. Sen is the recent recipient of the Oskar Klein Medal (2026), awarded by Stockholm University and the Nobel Committee for Physics, and the first Indian laureate of this honour.
